I believe. I believe in Jesus. I believe in his resurrection. I believe in his desire to see this world made new. I believe in his power to change lives and bring salvation. I believe—and I’ve experienced. I am so grateful for Jesus and how he is forming my life. This is real to me. God has been so faithful and I desire to step out in faith. I want to see others know Jesus, too.

My name is David Lewellyn. Jenese and I have been married 20 years in November and we have three daughters, Galilee (14), Eleanor (12), and Eva (10).

Serving Jesus in Spokane for the past 20+ years has been a joy—this is home. As my family and I take our next step by launching Brighthill Church, we are excited to see others take their next step with Jesus as well.

From 2002 until 2023, I was blessed to do ministry here in Spokane with Life Center alongside pastor Joe Wittwer and pastor Michael Wittwer—mostly working with youth and young adults. I am grateful for my time with Life Center, and for the ongoing support they have offered me in this new adventure.

In the summer of 2023, God began to clarify a vision he had placed in my heart years before—a vision for a new church. It was at this time a partnership with Summit Church on Spokane’s South Hill began because of an intersecting vision. God had put it on the heart of pastor Grant Bruscoe and Summit Church to become a multiplying church. They approached me about joining their team and preparing to launch a new church. For the past 18 months, I have been working alongside the incredible team at Summit to pursue this vision God gave us.

We are planning and preparing to start Brighthill Church in North Spokane this coming Fall, 2025 and are excited to share the love of Jesus with Spokane alongside the other incredible churches in this city.
