our story

Brighthill Church is built on faith in Jesus—His resurrection, His power to change lives, and His desire to make the world new. Our desire is to see people experience his faithfulness and take their next step with him.

Brighthill is being launched by David and Jenese Lewellyn, who have been married for 20 years and are raising three daughters: Galilee, Eleanor, and Eva. Spokane has been their home for over two decades, and serving Jesus in this community has been their joy.

From 2002–2023, David served at Life Center alongside pastors Joe and Michael Wittwer. That season shaped his ministry and provided ongoing support as the Lewellyns step into this new calling.

In 2023, God renewed a vision he had placed in David’s heart years before—a vision for a new church. At the same time, Summit Church on Spokane’s South Hill, led by pastor Grant Bruscoe, was pursuing multiplication. God brought these visions together, and in October of 2025 Brighthill was launched!
